Hybrid Sensor Developed by Researchers for Better Cancer Diagnosis
Washington [US], June 19 (ANI): A team of researchers from HSE University, Skoltech, MPGU, and MISIS have developed a nanophotonic-microfluidic sensor whose potential applications include cancer detection, monitoring and treatment response assessment.
Now, the device can identify gases and liquids dissolved at low concentrations with a high degree of accuracy. The paper has been published in Optics Letters.

Study: Scientists Offer Solutions for Risky Tap Water
Washington [US], June 19 (ANI): A recent study by Prof. YU Wenzheng’s team highlighted the risk that high concentrations of disinfection byproducts in tap water can cause bladder cancer and suggested sustainable solutions such as ozone biofiltration and nanofiltration to increase the safety of drinking water.
